That led him to custom order this 2019 Jupiter 38 HFS.

But there was another detail that mattered to him.

“Privacy.”

Because the boat would always be captain-operated, he added a Marlin Tower with a second helm.

That gave his captain a place to run the boat from above, while Michael, his family and guests could enjoy the entire deck below with more space and privacy.

It’s a simple idea, but one that shaped the way the boat was configured.

The rest of the setup follows the same philosophy.

There’s comfortable seating and plenty of shade for cruising and entertaining, while still keeping the fishing equipment his grandkids wanted when it was time to head offshore.

And the technology was set up for the same versatility.

Garmin 8617 displays, autopilot and Yamaha Helm Master joystick at the main helm, with additional electronics and another joystick in the tower.

It’s powered by twin Yamaha 425s, producing a combined 850 HP, with around 685 hours.

The boat has always been captain-operated.

And when it came to maintenance, Michael took the same approach.

The boat has been used regularly around South Florida, including trips from Coral Gables to Cat Cay in the Bahamas, where Michael has a second home.

It was built to be versatile, and that’s exactly how the family used it.
